Compared to last week, a light offering of feeder cattle traded with a steady to firm undertone on comparable weights and quality. Slaughter cattle and cows sold steady to firm with last week. Supply included: 72% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 51% Heifers, 6% Bulls); 28% Slaughter Cattle (30% Steers, 7% Heifers, 56% Cows, 7% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 50%.

Slaughter Cattle as a whole sold $5.00 higher while Lean Cows were down. For Replacement Cattle, too small of a test this week to make a comparison. Supply included: 82% Feeder Cattle (32% Steers, 49% Heifers, 19% Bulls); 14% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (5% Bred Cows, 89% Cow-Calf Pairs, 5% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 19%.
