Friday's auction was a Special Bred Cow/ Heifer sale with a few pairs mixed in, several consignments of bred heifers with a couple consignments of top quality bred heifers that sold with good demand in the 3rd stage. Slaughter cows traded firm to 3.00 higher, spots 5.00 higher on the high dressing cows. Feeder cattle were very lightly tested with the bulk of sales being bulls. Supply included: 41% Feeder Cattle (10% Steers, 42% Heifers, 48% Bulls); 33% Slaughter Cattle (36% Steers, 4% Heifers, 55% Cows, 5% Bulls); 26% Replacement Cattle (41% Bred Cows, 39% Bred Heifers, 20% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 39%.

Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold2.00 higher; Demand good and supply moderate. Supply included: 93% Feeder Cattle (56% Steers, 41% Heifers, 3% Bulls); 5% Slaughter Cattle (93% Cows, 7% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (50% Bred Cows, 18% Bred Heifers, 32% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 31%.
