Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer and heifer calves weighing 450-700 lbs sold mostly 10.00-20.00 lower on comparable sales with a near pot load of 939 lb heifers off the same consignment from two weeks ago selling 6.00 lower. Slaughter cows on the high dressing breaking cows sold steady with all other slaughter cows selling 2.00-5.00 lower. Demand was light to moderate on a moderate supply. CME cattle futures had a very rough week turning very bearish with sharp losses as the bears spoke loud taking away recent gains. From Friday to Friday week ending Nov 10, Live Cattle contracts for Dec lost near 10.00 with Feb loosing 10.58; Feeder Cattle contracts for Nov lost 10.88, with January loosing 13.33; giving away to significant market loss and weakness. Supply included: 85% Feeder Cattle (49% Steers, 48% Heifers, 2% Bulls); 15% Slaughter Cattle (7% Steers, 4% Heifers, 78% Cows, 11% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 51%.

Compared to last week steers and heifers sold 2.00-8.00 lower, on a light test with less attractive quality in the offering. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 lower and bulls sold steady. Demand light and supply light. Supply included: 56% Feeder Cattle (31% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 41% Heifers, 27% Bulls); 39% Slaughter Cattle (90% Cows, 10% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (61% Bred Cows, 35% Cow-Calf Pairs, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 18%.

Slaughter steers and heifers traded unevenly steady on high choice and steady on low choice and selects. Holstein steers traded 3.00-4.00 higher on high choice and 2.00 higher on low choice and selects.  Feeder steers & heifers traded lower on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle) and 5.00-8.00 lower on medium-short 2-3. Slaughter cows traded steady to 2.00 higher on better cows and 2.00 higher on slower cows. Slaughter bulls traded steady.
