    Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to $6 higher. Slaughter cows sold $1 higher and bulls sold $3 lower; Demand good and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 9 percent of the run, 91 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 47 percent of the offering, 46 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 30 percent.

    Due to the range in quality of the offering the market was also very uneven. We are coming into the season of the year when we have warm days and cool nights and cattle get sick. This will be reflected in the market on these type cattle – bawling, unweaned, unvaccinated. Slaughter bulls and cows sold steady.
