Friday's auction had a light run of feeders that were lightly tested but for the most part sold mostly in the same price ranges as last week on comparable quality and weights. Several bred cows were on offer mostly 4-7 yrs in the 2nd and 3rd stage sold with moderate to good demand. Slaughter steers and heifers traded firm to 4.00 higher with a large offering of slaughter cows selling fully steady to firm. Supply included: 43% Feeder Cattle (17% Steers, 46% Heifers, 37% Bulls); 43% Slaughter Cattle (18% Steers, 10% Heifers, 61% Cows, 10% Bulls); 14% Replacement Cattle (82% Bred Cows, 7% Bred Heifers, 8% Cow-Calf Pairs, 3% Heifer Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 29%.

Holstein steers traded 1.00 higher on high choice and 1.00 higher on low choice and selects.
