Compared to last week, a very light offering of feeders sold mostly in small packages and singles were not well tested with similar average quality and weights trading within last week's price ranges. A nice offering of near 100 head of slaughter steers and heifers sold firm to 5.00 higher with slaughter cows selling fully steady to firm. Supply included: 50% Feeder Cattle (37% Steers, 53% Heifers, 10% Bulls); 50% Slaughter Cattle (15% Steers, 21% Heifers, 45% Cows, 19% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 35%.

Compared to last week's lighter receipts: Feeder steers and steer calves 5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder heifers 7.00-13.00 higher. Heifer calves 5.00-10.00 higher. Quality better then last week. Weigh ups were in the buyers favor. Cattle futures are trading in the green once again today. Rain continued to fall last weekend and is forecast for tonight through Wednesday night. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (57% Steers, 41% Heifers, 3% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 71%.

Feeder steers & heifers were very strong on the better quality on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle)and higher on lower quality offering medium-short 2-3. Slaughter cows traded 3.00-6.00 higher on better overnight cows & good lean cows. Day cows traded 4.00 higher and 5.00 higher on slower cows. Slaughter bulls traded steady to 3.00 higher.
