Compared to last week, a very light offering of feeder cattle were lightly tested selling in small packages and singles, but what was on offer sold within last week's price ranges of similar quality and weights. There were several small packages of bred cows and pairs mostly running ages with a package of bred heifers and several small packages of pairs mostly 5 yrs to aged cows with 300-350 lb calves several bred back in 1st stage all selling with good demand. Slaughter steers and heifers sold steady to firm as did the the slaughter cows. Supply included: 52% Feeder Cattle (23% Steers, 48% Heifers, 29% Bulls); 34% Slaughter Cattle (15% Steers, 3% Heifers, 60% Cows, 22% Bulls); 14% Replacement Cattle (47% Bred Cows, 14% Bred Heifers, 31% Cow-Calf Pairs, 8% Heifer Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 52%.

Slaughter cows and bulls sold 3.00 higher; Demand not determined and supply light. Compared to last week: Feeder steers 8.00-12.00 higher, except over 800 lbs mostly steady to 3.00 lower. Feeder heifers 3.00-8.00 higher. Steer calves steady to 4.00 higher. Heifer calves under 500 lbs steady to 4.00 lower; over 500 lbs 5.00 higher. Demand very good for all classes. Today's sale also includes a Special Angus Sale. These cattle are not only Angus sired but are weaned 45 days or better and are with multiple rounds of shots. The cattle sold in this special sale are identified as Value Added in the report. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 46% Heifers, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 66%.
