Receipts: 3555; Last Week: 6296; Year Ago: 8142

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 30.00-40.00 lower in limited supplies. Steer and heifer calves mostly 40.00-50.00 lower. Demand light to moderate. Most months of the cattle futures were down the limit last Friday with those limits expanded on Monday and again, most months closed down the expanded limits. No Cattle on Feed report last Friday, but early industry estimates were bullish; On Feed 98.1; Placements 91.3; Marketings 96.2. One other note, beef prices have risen 8.00-10.00 since last Monday. A Cool front brought some much needed rain to the state over the weekend and another cold front expect mid-week. This will be creating health issues for those un-weaned calves, making shots more important. Quality plain to average and this also playing a slight role in lower prices. Some un-weaned calves at the top of the range had at least a round of shots. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (59% Steers, 37% Heifers, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 49%.
