Compared to last week, a very light offering of feeders this week as most cancelled due to weather. The light offering of feeders on comparable sales of similar weight and quality all sold well within last weeks price ranges or with a steady undertone. Slaughter steers and heifers on a light test sold firm to 4.00 higher with slaughter cows all trading with a fully steady to firm undertone. Supply included: 49% Feeder Cattle (35% Steers, 63% Heifers, 3% Bulls); 51% Slaughter Cattle (7% Steers, 6% Heifers, 86% Cows, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 40%.

Slaughter steers and heifers traded 2.00-3.00 higher on high choice and 2.00 higher on low choice and selects. Holstein steers traded steady on high choice and steady choice and selects. Feeder steers & heifers traded strong on the better quality on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle)and higher on unweaned medium-short 2-3. Slaughter cows traded 4.00-6.00 higher on better overnight cows & good lean cows. Day cows traded 2.00-5.00 higher & 4.00 higher on slower cows. Slaughter bulls traded 3.00-8.00 higher.
