Compared to last week, a very light test of feeder cattle sold mostly steady, all within last week's price ranges on similar quality feeders, selling mostly in small packages. Slaughter steers and heifers traded steady to 7.00 higher with slaughter cows selling fully steady to firm, spots 5.00 higher with several individual stick out cows in the offering. Supply included: 62% Feeder Cattle (29% Steers, 41% Heifers, 29% Bulls); 38% Slaughter Cattle (9% Steers, 22% Heifers, 65% Cows, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 23%.

Compared to last week: Feeder cattle and calves mostly steady. Bulk of the feeder steers weighing over 750 lbs and 700-750 lb steers very lightly tested. Demand good as cattle futures traded sharply higher on Monday. Several strings of heavier weight feeder cattle included. Weigh ups average to full. Feeders in medium to fleshy conditions. Warm, humid day on Monday but will cool back into the 60's and 70's after today. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (51% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 46% Heifers, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 75%.
