Corn, Soybean And Tobacco Field Day Is July 21

The University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment (CAFE) will host the 2026 Corn, Soybean and Tobacco Field Day on July 21 at its UK Research and Education Center in Princeton to deliver timely, research-based information to growers and agribusiness professionals. 

“The Corn, Soybean and Tobacco Field Day provides an excellent opportunity for our grain crops and tobacco communities to hear from UK specialists and researchers about the issues and innovations that will influence management decisions in the years ahead,” said Colette Laurent, UKREC Extension associate and field day coordinator. 

Tours run concurrently, allowing participants to choose sessions on field crops or tobacco. UK Martin-Gatton research and Extension corn and soybean experts will cover pests, water quality monitoring, soil management, marketing and farm profitability. Tobacco experts will share research in burley and dark tobacco production. 

Continuing education credits for certified crop advisors and pesticide applicators in several categories have been approved.

Check-in begins at 7 a.m. CDT at 300 Extension Farm Road, Princeton, KY 42445. The tours will begin at 8 a.m. 

Pre-registration is preferred to plan for the complimentary lunch made available with generous support from Kentucky Corn, the Kentucky Soybean Board and Altria Client Services.
