Soil Chemistry And Soil Health Topic Of Feb. 17 Extension Program In Hartville

HARTVILLE, MO.
   Our guest for the day will be Will McClain, an agronomy specialist with University of Missouri Extension in Steeleville, Mo., will be guest speaker at the next regular meeting of the South-Central Dairy Grazers.
   McClain will lead a discussion on basic soil chemistry, soil health and soil amendments.
   The program begins at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17 at the Laclede Electric Cooperative Building in Hartville, Mo.
   Ted Probert, a dairy specialist with MU Extension and the host for the meeting, says the topic is of importance to all dairy producers.
   “At this meeting we will also be planning for activities during the upcoming grazing season,” said Ted Probert, a dairy specialist with MU Extension and the host for the meeting. “With good weather we should be able to get back out on the farm in March so we will be looking for ideas and volunteers.”
