Supply light, mostly small packages of 400-700 lbs feeders, near 57 percent steers and bulls, 25 percent heifers, 15 percent cows, 3 percent slaughter steers and heifers and 26 percent mostly steers over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows steady to firm.

   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $3-15 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $3 lower. Demand good and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 45 percent of the offering, 39 percent heifers with 16 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 34 percent.

   Due to the holidays there was no sale last week, however compared to two weeks ago 600 lbs steers and 400 lbs heifers sold steady, the rest of the offering sold $3-25 higher. Slaughter cows sold $1 lower and bulls sold $5 higher. Demand good to very good and supply light. Cows made up approximately 8 percent of the run, 92 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 36 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 21 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.
