In January 2015, Baton Rouge, LA is the place to be for the 18th Annual National Conservation Systems Cotton & Rice
Conference, the Southern Corn & Soybean Conference and the Southern Precision Ag Conference.
On January 14-16, 2015, the Crowne Plaza, Baton Rouge, LA will be the center of Ag production information and innovation. Featuring over 100 researchers and producers as guest speakers, the conferences are the coordinated effort of seven mid-south universities and sponsored by Cotton Incorporated, the US Rice Producers Association, the United Soybean Board and MidAmerica Farm Publications.
A highlight of the event will be the 35 mid-south producers from six states, 50 researchers from seven southern universities, and eight certified crop consultants from three states who will present their first hand experiences using the latest research and production methods. Six VIP’s of the rice, cotton, corn and soybean industry will round out the program.

Cotton Economist, O.A. Cleveland, Professor Emeritus, Mississippi State University will facilitate a Roundtable Session on the economics of cotton.
Utilizing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones) In Production Agriculture will be discussed by Tom Woodward, Crop Consultant from Radiant, Virginia.
Back to back years of 100 + bushel per acre soybean grower from Arkansas Matt Miles will present a breakout session featuring, “Our Success With High Yielding Soybeans In The Delta”.
Dr. David Kerns of LSU AgCenter will be presenting his latest research on “Sugar Aphids: A New Pest Of Sorghum In The U.S.”
