   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $2-10 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold $2 higher. Demand good and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 88 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 63 percent of the offering, 33 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 47 percent.

   Today’s market was very mixed. We had a large run of feeder cattle with a lot of groups of preconditions heavier weight cattle. That market appeared to be 6-10 higher. The rest of the offering was steady to a little lower. Slaughter bulls and cows sold steady.
   FEEDER STEERS: 200-299 lbs $301-351; 300-399 lbs $280-315; 400-499 lbs $250-282; 500-599 lbs $235-269; 600-699 lbs $211-236; 700-799 lbs $201-227.
   HOLSTEIN STEERS: 500-600 lbs $198-205; 600-700 lbs $187.50-190; 700-800 lbs $190; 800-1000 lbs $156-179. This market was larger groups of preconditioned Holstein steers.

   Compared to last week, 400-600 lbs steers and 600-700 lbs heifers sold $2-7 higher, the rest of the offering sold $7-10 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 17 percent of the run, 83 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 37 percent of the offering, 40 percent heifers with 23 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 18 percent.
