   With the drastic drop in the stock market last week, cattle were down the limit in earlier sales. Here however 5-600 lb heifers were $2-3 higher. Good offering of preconditioned cattle held their market. The rest of the offering was $5-9 lower. Slaughter bulls and cows sold slightly lower.
   FEEDER STEERS: 200-299 lbs $270-298; 300-399 lbs $300-368; 400-499 lbs $231-299; 500-599 lbs $220-258; 600-699 lbs $211-253; 700-799 lbs $199-211.

   Compared to last week, 500-600 lbs heifers sold $1-5 lower, the rest of the offering sold $9-20+ lower. Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold $2 higher. Demand lower and supply light. Cows made up approximately 14 percent of the run, 86 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 33 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 23 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 16 percent.

   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $13-20 lower. Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold $3 higher. Demand much lower and supply light. Cows made up approximately 22 percent of the run, 78 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 39 percent of the offering, 44 percent heifers with 17 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.
