Reinke Sponsors Campaign To Fund Cancer Research

DESHLER, NEB.
For the third year now, Reinke has helped to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research through its ‘Finding a Cure is PIVOTal’ campaign, held during the Sunbelt Ag Expo.
Through campaign t-shirt sales and donations, $3,546 was raised during this year’s Expo to benefit 26.2 With Donna (www.breastcancermarathon.com), an organization that hosts marathons to raise fund for breast cancer research and to support patients and survivors. This effort totaled $5,500 raised throughout the month of October to benefit this organization. All the money raised goes directly to the research and patients.
“We are so grateful for the amazing work Reinke does on our behalf,” said Deegan. “The money we receive from this wonderful fundraising effort goes a long way toward helping women with breast cancer and brings us closer to our goal, a cure for breast cancer.”

New this year, Reinke incorporated the only pink tent on the lot and also partnered with two area medical centers. Medical personnel from Colquitt Regional Medical Center and Carlton Breast Health Center at Phoebe Putney in Albany joined the Reinke booth to help provide education, risk assessments and discuss early detection with Expo attendees.
As well, Reinke, Kioti, Branson Tractors and Bush Hog all came together at the Reinke booth during the show to host “Pink Parade at the Sunbelt” to showcase their industry support for breast cancer research. Reinke housed the only pink tent on the lot along with their center pivot display featuring 38-inch pink tire wheels; Kioti featured a pink UTV; Branson Tractors brought over a pink compact utility tractor for display; and Bush Hog featured a pink zero turn mower in the pink parade line-up.
Reinke has a long-standing partnership with Sunbelt Ag Expo. When Amy Willis, the communications specialist for the expo, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, Reinke Southeast Territory Manager Mike Mills and the company wanted to show its support. The ‘Finding a Cure is PIVOTal’ campaign effort was developed to benefit Amy’s favorite charity, 26.2 With Donna, and has been featured as a part of Reinke’s expo presence each year since. ∆
