We are attempting to put together a breeding stock sale featuring Charlie Mangels bred heifers for Saturday, Feb 14th. This will be a closed consignment auction.  If you or someone you knows has a “group” of bred heifers, herd dispersal, or breeding bulls that you would like to consign to this sale, please call the sale barn or Steve at 573-270-6209 as soon as possible.

   There has not been a sale for 2 weeks. Compared to last auction the market has regained the losses it took before the holidays. In categories with a good test and good quality it appears the market was $15 to $25 higher. Slaughter bulls and cows sold steady.

   Due to the Holidays there was no sales the past two weeks, however compared to the last December sale. The steers and heifers under 600 lbs sold $11-34 higher, the offering over 600 lbs sold $4-18 higher. Slaughter cows sold $2 lower and bulls sold $1 lower. Demand very good and supply light. Cows made up approximately 15 percent of the run, 85 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 56 percent of the offering, 32 percent heifers with 11 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 29 percent.

   Due to the Holidays there was no sale the past two weeks, however compared to the last sale in December, steers and heifers sold $13-35 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand very good and supply light. Cows made up approximately 17 percent of the run, 83 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 60 percent of the offering, 34 percent heifers with 6 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 5 percent.
