   Considering the markets continued to tumble thru last week our market seemed pretty strong. We are going to call them uneven this week. Where there were enough to test market steady to $5 lower. Slaughter bulls and cows sold lower.

   Compared to last week, not enough feeders for adequate price test, undertone under 500 lbs steady to firm and weak to lower over 500 lbs. Demand light to good, best on 400-500 lbs calves. Supply light, mostly small packages of feeders, near 53 percent steers and bulls, 22 percent heifers, 25 percent cows and 18 percent feeders over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows firm to $5 higher most advance on lean offerings.

   Compared to last week, 600 lbs heifers sold $6 higher, the rest of the offering sold steady to $7 lower. Slaughter cows sold $3 lower and bulls sold $3 higher. Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 22 percent of the run, 78 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 51 percent of the offering, 39 percent heifers with 8 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 37 percent.
