   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $2-12 higher. Slaughter cows sold $6 higher and bulls sold steady. Demand good and supply light. Cows made up approximately 9 percent of the run, 91 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 59 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 8 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 21 percent.

   Compared to two weeks ago, steers 450-650 lbs firm to $5 higher, 650-750 lbs steady to firm and over 750 lbs steady to weak. Heifers 450-600 lbs $5-10 higher, spots $10-20 higher on 550-600 lbs, 600-700 lbs steady to firm and over 700 lbs steady to weak. Demand moderate to good. Supply heavy on a feeder special, mostly weaned 450-950 lbs offerings, near 67 percent steers and bulls, 26 percent heifers, 7 percent cows and 45 percent feeders over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows compared to last week firm to $1 higher.

   Market was more active today considering coming off of a week of more snow last week, then rain overnight makes moving cattle very difficult. We are going to call the market higher overall where there was enough to test, it appears to be $2-15 higher-trending up as futures have.
