Ste. Genevieve Rural Heritage Day 2015

October 24, 2015 at Ste. Genevieve, Mo., the Lions Club held their 7th Annual Rural Heritage Day. The River Hills Antique Tractor Club participated as Dale Prevallet brought his AC D10 tractor to cut and bind corn stalks and Paul Ruehling had his vintage corn binder working hard. The bound corn stalks will be used on May 28-29, 2016 at the Old Timer’s Days in Perryville, Mo. Some of the River Hill Antique Tractor Club members helped by picking up the bundles of stalks.
Alvin Brown and Larry Giesler had Alvin’s antique Farmall M to pull the trailer of stalks. Alvin and Larry are members of the Lost Acres Tractor Club from Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Kevin Moll, Jerry Davis, Ken Naeger, Ed Worley and Alvin Brown assisted.
The Rural Heritage Day is held every fall. It includes a parade through town, corn picking, tractor plowing, horse and mule plowing, wagon rides and many displays and demonstrations. ∆
