   Compared to last week’s special a light run of feeder calves mostly under 650 lbs traded steady on a light supply of comparable sales. Demand remains good on calves headed for grass best on weaned calves with vaccination program and selling with weighing conditions. Supply was mostly calves selling in small packages weighing 450-650 lbs. Slaughter cows sold steady. Feeder supply included 58 percent steers and bull, 42 percent heifers and near 35 percent weighing over 600 lbs.

   Compared to last week, steers and heifers over 600 lbs sold steady to $4 higher, the offering under 600 lbs sold uneven, from $1 higher to $7 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $2 higher. Demand uneven and supply moderate to heavy. Cows made up approximately 8 percent of the run, 92 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 60 percent of the offering, 33 percent heifers with 6 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 37 percent.
