   Compared to the last tested feeder auction from two weeks ago, steer calves under 500 lbs steady, 500-750 lbs steers $5-10 lower, and steers over 750 lbs $3-5 lower. Heifer calves under 600 lbs steady to firm, and feeder heifers over 600 lbs steady to $5 lower. Slaughter cows steady with last week. Feeder special with the supply consisting of featherweight calves to heavy weight yearlings. Many cattle carrying more fleshy than buyers like to see for this time of year. Fed cattle trading $2-3 lower this week along with lower cattle futures and boxed beef prices all adding pressure to the feeder market. Cows accounted for near 7 percent of the receipts with 93 percent feeders. In the feeder supply steers and bulls accounted for 63 percent, 37 percent heifers and near 65 percent weighed over 600 lbs.

   Compared to last week, 400 lbs steers sold $3 higher, the rest of the offering sold $3-10 lower with good conditioning but lower quality than past weeks. Slaughter cows sold $2 higher and bulls sold steady. Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 88 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 52 percent of the offering, 36 percent heifers with 12 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 25 percent.

Slaughter cows made up approximately 9 percent of the run, 91 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 37 percent of the offering, 46 percent heifers with 18 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 17 percent.
