Missouri Cattle Industry Convention Registration Open

COLUMBIA, MO.
The 49th Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show will occur Jan. 6-8 at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Mo. Registration for the convention is now available. Discounted rates are available to those who register before Dec. 11. Individuals interested in registering for the convention can do so by going to MCA's website at www.mocattle.com.
Missouri Cattlemen’s Association (MCA) President-Elect Butch Meier said he expects more than 500 cattle producers from across the state to attend the annual gathering.
“We are expecting a large crowd of cattle producers to come together to network with fellow producers, vendors and industry leaders,” said Meier, who also chairs the association’s convention committee. “The convention is also where we form policy priories for the coming year. Every member of the organization is afforded the opportunity to bring ideas to the table.”
Meier said the convention also features a “cattlemen's college” sponsored by Zoetis. The college includes breakout sessions on topics ranging from the futures market to genomics. He also added that the largest trade show in the state focusing entirely on the cattle industry will take place Jan. 6-7 of the convention.
The annual convention is hosted by MCA; Missouri's Cattlemen Foundation; Missouri CattleWomen’s Association; and Missouri Beef Industry Council.
Companies or groups interested in being a vendor at the trade show should contact Wes Tiemann at 573-499-9162. ∆
