UT Institute Of Agriculture Hosts Grain Conference In West Tennessee
Herbicide Stewardship, Irrigation Management And Legal Issues In Agriculture On The Program
DYERSBURG, TENN.
The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture will host the 2017 West Tennessee Grain and Soybean Producers Conference on Thursday, February 2. The conference will be held at the Dyer County Fairgrounds in Dyersburg.
The conference begins at 7:45 a.m. with registration and an industry trade show that features more than 50 exhibitors. Breakout sessions begin at 9 a.m. This year’s presentations will cover topics ranging from corn and soybean marketing, irrigation, cover crops and honeybees as well as tips for managing wildlife damage. Ford Baldwin, with Practical Weed Consultants, will give the last presentation of the morning on stewardship of new herbicide technology.
Following a complimentary lunch, Harrison Pittman, Director of the National Agricultural Law Center, will provide an update on agricultural law and address new and emerging legal issues facing the ag industry.
