Late last year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved XtendiMax™ herbicide with VaporGrip™ Technology for in-crop use with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans. A wide variety of Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybean products are available for the 2017 growing season, so growers need advice as to which products best fit their acres.

Some notable benefits of this new dicamba-based system include:
• Control of glyphosate-resistant broadleaf weeds such as Palmer amaranth, waterhemp and marestail, along with other tough-to-control broadleaf weeds such as lambsquarters and velvetleaf.
• Up to 14 days of soil activity for small-seeded broadleaf weeds such as waterhemp, lambsquarters and Palmer amaranth, to help primary residual herbicides keep fields clean through canopy. Results may vary depending on rainfall and soil type.
• Extended application flexibility of dicamba before, at and after planting.
