   Compared to last week, 400-500 lbs heifers sold $2.00 higher, the rest of the offering sold $2.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold $2.00 higher and bulls sold steady; Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 50 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 7 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 34 percent.

Cows made up approximately 22 percent of the run, 78 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 42 percent of the offering, 42 percent heifers with 16 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.

   Compared to last week, a very light test of steers weighing 600-750 lbs and several lots and groups of heifers weighing 450-725 lbs sold fully steady to firm. Demand was good on a light supply, as this week fed cattle trade had another good week of cash strength that helped to give support to the feeder cattle market. Slaughter cows sold $2.00-3.00 higher on another week of aggressive buying. Slaughter cows accounted for near 25 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply included 34 percent steers and bulls, 66 percent heifers and near 33 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
