Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $3.00 lower to $2.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $2.00 lower; Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 20 percent of the run, 80 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 32 percent of the offering, 50 percent heifers with 17 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 17 percent.

Friday's auction was a Special Bred cow and heifer sale with near 70 percent of the receipts replacement and slaughter cows. There was consignment of over 100 head of reputation Red/Blk AngSim cross heifers to calve in the fall from the Deer Creek Cattle Co from Clarksville, Mo. along with a nice offering young cow pairs and bred cows all selling with moderate to good demand. Slaughter cows on a nice offering sold steady to firm. Light receipts of feeder cattle were very lightly tested with no comparison with the supply mostly new crop calves selling in small packages with the exception of a pot load of 815 lb steers all selling with moderate demand. Feeder supply consisted of 70 percent steers and bulls, 30 percent heifers and near 48 percent weighing over 600 lbs.

Compared to last week, 300 lbs and 600 lbs steers sold $3.00 higher, the rest of the offering sold $1.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold $3.00 lower and bulls sold steady higher. Supply light. Cows made up approximately 16 percent of the run, 84 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 35 percent of the offering, 49 percent heifers with 17 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 27 percent.
