Farm Bureau Leaders Visit Jefferson City To Advocate For Agriculture And Rural Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, MO.
Local Farm Bureau members recently visited the State Capitol in Jefferson City to talk with legislators about the priorities of farmers, ranchers and rural Missourians. As part of Missouri Farm Bureau’s (MOFB) Capitol Connection program, farmers and ranchers from throughout the state are coming to the Capitol each week to emphasize the importance of issues such as transportation funding, rural broadband infrastructure and private property rights.
On March 27, Stephen Huber from Perry County participated, along with several other farmers from southeast Missouri. As a grassroots, member-driven organization, Farm Bureau emphasizes the importance of personal contact with legislators to personalize the policy issues that are important to rural Missouri. The state’s largest farm organization, MFB has over 126,000 member families. ∆
