Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $7.00 lower to $2.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold $2.00 higher and bulls sold $1.00 higher Supply heavy. Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 88 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 44 percent of the offering, 44 percent heifers with 12 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 22 percent.

Compared to two weeks ago, the best test on feeder steers weighed 550-700 lbs and heifers weighing 600-800 lbs sold $5.00-8.00 higher, with yearling steers over 700 lbs trading with a sharply higher undertone. Steer and heifer calves under 550 lbs were lightly tested. Demand was good with supply moderate. Slaughter cows sold steady to $3.00 lower. There was a nice quality offering of groups and part loads of steers and heifers weighing 600-900 lbs all selling with good demand. Slaughter cows accounted for near 13 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply consisted of 56 percent steers and bulls, 44 percent heifers and 70 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
