   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $4.00 lower to $8.00 higher.  Slaughter cows sold $3.00 higher, bulls sold $2.00 higher; Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 15 percent of the run, 85 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 54 percent of the offering, 40 percent heifers with 6 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 60 percent.

   Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers under 600 lbs were lightly tested, with the best test on 600-700 lbs steers selling $2.00-6.00 higher, 700-800 lbs sold with a sharply higher undertone and 800-850 lbs on a light test sold firm to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers weighing 550-700 lbs sold with a firm to higher undertone on few comparable sales with 700-750 lbs trading $2.00-3.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate to heavy. Bulk of the feeders weighed 600-850 lbs with the best demand on the 600-750 lb steers. Slaughter cows accounted for near 14 percent of the total receipts and traded $2.00-4.00 higher on an active market.  Feeder cattle consisted of 56 percent steers, 44 percent heifers and 72 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
