   Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves under 550 lbs sold with a higher undertone on a light test, with 550-700 lb steers and heifers selling $5.00-10.00 higher, feeders over 700 lbs sold with a higher undertone.  Demand was moderate to good with supply heavy. A nice offering of good quality steers and heifers weighing mostly 500-750 lbs sold on and active market as sunshine and warmer temperatures prevailed. Slaughter cows accounted for 14 percent of the total receipts and traded steady to $2.00 lower. Feeder supply consisted of 49 percent steers, 8 percent bulls, 43 percent heifers and 60 percent weighing over 600 lbs.

Cows made up approximately 17 percent of the run, 83 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 44 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 13 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 28 percent.
