Corn Picker Day

 The River Hills Antique Tractor Club will present the 2nd Annual Corn Picker Day on October 12, 2019.  The Festivities will begin at 10:30 am at the Jerry Davis Farm.
   They will pick corn with old corn pickers, a two row mounted and a one row mounted. One and two row will be pull type. There will also be a corn binder working at the field.
   Come and see how it was done in the 40’s and 50’s. Anyone is welcome to bring a picker and tractor. There will be 30” and 40” row wagons and trailers available.
   A small lunch will be on grounds. If you want to see old tractors and machines in the field be sure to stop by.
   The directions to the Jerry Davis Farm are to take St. Joseph Street on west side of Perryville, turn onto Kiefer Street by old Fred’s Flower Shop. Go past Edgemont Blvd. Keep straight to Sandy Lane. Turn left on Sandy Lane and cross the bridge. After you cross the bridge stay right towards the hay barn. You will be on the farm.

   Other events to be sure to make a note of is Plow Day will be on November 9, 2019. This will be held at Davis Bros Farm in Menfro in the bottoms.
   Christmas on the square tractor show will be November 30, 2019. The show will start at 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The lighting on the square with all lights will be at 5:00 pm. ∆
