Root-Knot Nematode In Commercial And Residential Crops

LEXINGTON, KY.
Root-knot nematode is a soil-dwelling, microscopic roundworm that infects the roots of numerous vegetables, fruits, field crops, and ornamentals, as well as common weeds. It is particularly serious when high populations are permitted to build up due to continuous replanting of susceptible crops on the same site. If root knot nematode was present in your plantings last year, be sure to consider some of the management strategies outlined in this publication before planting this year’s crop(s). Information on symptoms, cause, and disease development is also provided in the fact sheet.
Root-knot Nematode in Commercial and Residential Crops (PPFS-GEN-10) is available online.
