Market very good with lots of activity on preconditioned cattle that were offered although there were few groups that fit that description. Best quality of the day was in the 5 weight category with the lowest quality in the 600+ lb cattle. Heavy rain Monday through Wednesday morning made moving cattle difficult across the trade area. CME cattle futures started the day with big losses before closing only $1.425 lower for Sep feeders and another $1 lower for Oct live cattle on the day.
