2021 IPM Training School

PRINCETON, KY.
   In anticipation of the continued gathering restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 IPM Training School will be livestreamed on March 10, 2021 via Zoom.
   The program will consist of a field crop session from 8:15 AM to 11:15 AM followed by a horticulture session in the afternoon (1:00 PM to 3:45 PM).   A group of UK researchers and Extension specialists will present and discuss updated information on fungicides and plant diseases, insect pests and beneficial insects, herbicides and weed management, irrigation management, and management of the most common wildlife related issues in fruit and vegetable production. Dr. Chris Marble, a guest speaker from the University of Florida, will talk about herbicide rotations, developing weed management, programs, and sanitation practices applicable to both a nursery and greenhouse production.
   Our program will offer 4 CEUs in specific categories (1A, 10 and 12) for pesticide applicators. Certified crop advisers will receive 4 CEUs in Integrated Pest Management and 0.5 CEUs in each; Nutrient Management, and Soil and Water Management categories.
   Online pre-registration is available until March 8th.
   A Zoom link will be emailed to each registrant a day before the event. ∆
