Farmington Regional Stockyards
Market was steady to $6 higher with excellent quality in the offering and good demand despite a downward trending futures market and the country’s political state. Best demand was for 500 lb - 650 lb grazing steers and heifers.
With corn and bean prices on the rise, feedlots are projecting cost of gain to end up at or above $1 per pound leading us to believe finished cattle prices will need to move higher before feeder cattle prices can make any advancement.
