Farmington Regional Stockyards
2/4/21 Cattle Sale Market Report

Some high quality, preconditioned calves came to town this week despite the muddy and wet conditions and traded with good demand until the close of the sale. Lightweight calves under 600lbs are seeing a seasonal increase as grazing operations are beginning to stock up which is likely to be a more noticeable trend this year as the best premiums are currently being seen in fall feeder contracts.
Overall, the feeder market was steady to $10 higher on calves.
Weigh stock saw a price jump as cows and bulls traded $7 higher this week.
