    Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves mostly steady and yearlings poorly tested. Demand moderate to good. Supply light, mostly calves, near 27 percent steers and bulls, 48 percent heifers, 25 percent cows and 22 percent feeders mostly heifers over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows mostly steady.

    Compared to last week steers and heifer supply too light to do a good test of market. Trends for most weights were steady to slightly lower. We are coming into the season of the year when we have warm days and cool nights and cattle get sick. This will be reflected in the market on these type cattle – bawling, unweaned, unvaccinated. Slaughter bulls and cows sold steady.

    Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to $10 higher. Slaughter cows sold $1 lower and bulls sold steady; Demand good and supply light. Cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 31 percent of the offering, 52 percent heifers with 15 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 30 percent.
