Recreational Pond Management Workshop Set For April 8

   The LSU AgCenter and Louisiana Sea Grant will present a spring tune-up workshop for owners of recreational ponds at the Hammond Research Station April 8.

   The program will last from 5 to 6 p.m. and will cover managing pond water quality, aquatic plants and controls. There will be an outdoor demonstration at the Hammond Research Station pond.

   Speakers on the program will include LSU AgCenter horticulture agent Will Afton, AgCenter forestry agent Whitney Wallace and Sea Grant area marine agent Carol Franze.

   The workshop is open to the public, but registration by April 1 is required to reserve a seat.
