Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers traded steady to firm with the exception of 550-600 lbs and 700-750 lb steers selling steady to $5.00 lower. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold $4.00-8.00 higher with the most advance on the 450-500 lb heifers, 500- 650 lb heifers sold steady to $4.00 higher, 650-700 lb sold steady and 700-800 lbs sold with higher undertone. Slaughter cows sold firm to spots $3.00 higher on the high dressing cows. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate to heavy supply. Best demand on 500-700 lb steers. Supply included: 93% Feeder Cattle (54% Steers, 45% Heifers, 2% Bulls); 7% Slaughter Cattle (9% Steers, 3% Dairy Steers, 2% Heifers, 73% Cows, 13% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 63%.
