Compared to last week, very light offering of feeder cattle this week to test the market. There was a consignment of 1st calf heifer pairs in the offering, along with a consignment of mostly short solid and aged pairs with a few bred cows all selling with moderate to good demand. A large offering of slaughter cows sold firm to $2.00 higher. Supply included: 47% Feeder Cattle (35% Steers, 57% Heifers, 8% Bulls); 41% Slaughter Cattle (11% Steers, 4% Heifers, 67% Cows, 18% Bulls); 12% Replacement Cattle (12% Bred Cows, 54% Cow-Calf Pairs, 34% Heifer Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 24%.
