Friday's sale was a Special Bred Cow and Pairs sale with several 1st calf heifer pairs and young pairs mostly 3-6 yrs all selling with moderate to good demand. Bred cows were mostly all fall calving cows 3-6 yrs of age also selling with moderate to good demand. Feeder cattle were very lightly tested with several small packages of nice quality 400-460 lb heifer calves selling with a firm to higher undertone. Slaughter cows on a nice offering traded $2.00-5.00 higher. Supply included: 33% Feeder Cattle (36% Steers, 54% Heifers, 10% Bulls); 30% Slaughter Cattle (2% Steers, 6% Heifers, 82% Cows, 10% Bulls); 37% Replacement Cattle (39% Bred Cows, 5% Bred Heifers, 47% Cow-Calf Pairs, 9% Heifer Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 30%.
