Sheep, Goat Parasite Management Workshop Set For June 27 In Mount Vernon

   University of Missouri Extension will host a hands-on sheep and goat parasite management workshop 5 p.m. Monday, June 27, at the MU Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center in Mount Vernon.

   “Parasite management is important for a productive and profitable sheep and goat operation,” says MU Extension livestock field specialist Patrick Davis. “This workshop will discuss monitoring and controlling internal and external parasites, which are key to optimum sheep and goat operation health, production and profitability.”

   Topics discussed by MU Extension specialists include • Internal and external parasite management.

   • Five-point check health monitoring system.

   • Financial and production implications of parasite management.

   MU Southwest Center is in Lawrence County at 14548 State Road H, Mount Vernon.
